Ad Posting Rules

By registering on this site, the User agrees to these rules and assumes the rights and obligations related to posting ads on the site.

Attention! These rules apply to both free and paid ads (Premium, VIP ads) published on canadka.ca. Paid ads can also be blocked if violations are found.

If there is information that the posted ads violate the Site's rules, applicable law, and/or the rights of third parties, canadka.ca has the right to check and/or delete such ads at any time, as well as to restrict the actions of the User who posted these ads on the site.

The site administration reserves the right to refuse to publish an ad in case of systematic violations of the site rules by the User and upon confirmation of complaints about the ad from other users.

1. General Provisions

  • The content of ads must not contradict the laws of Canada, including the Competition Act and the Consumer Protection Act.
  • Do not post prohibited goods and services, a list of which is specified on canadka.ca/services/prohibited.
  • It is prohibited to post ads from users who do not possess the offered item/service or do not have documented proof of the right to conduct a legal transaction.
  • A user can only have one registration (account) on the site. Do not register again with another email.
  • Do not post the same ad (for the same item or service) multiple times, regardless of whether you are posting them in different regions or categories.
  • Post a specific item/service in one ad. An exception is an offer of a "set" that is sold/rented as a whole, indicating the price for the entire set.
  • Do not post general advertising ads, ads promoting internet resources (portals, forums, dating sites, etc.), businesses (shops, companies).
  • Do not post ads asking for financial help, fundraising for treatment, acceptance of donations, etc.
  • Do not post ads containing knowingly false information, advertising financial pyramids, and other dubious income methods.
  • Choose a section that best matches the topic of your ad, as well as the region that matches the actual location of your item. For example, "1-room apartment in Toronto", the region indicated in the ad should be Toronto, not Vancouver, etc.
  • If your offer is no longer relevant, be sure to remove the ad from publication immediately after the transaction.
  • Ads are accepted for publication in Russian, Ukrainian, and English or French. Ads must comply with the norms of the language in which they are written, i.e., they must not contain spelling, punctuation, and stylistic errors.
  • Advertising that lacks essential information about the advertised product, the conditions of its acquisition or use, if it distorts the meaning of the information and misleads consumers, is not allowed.

2. Requirements for filling in the ad fields:

2.1 Title

  • The ad title must match its content.
  • Do not use repetitive question marks, exclamation marks, and other characters, as well as words that attract attention, such as "Urgent!!!", "Sell!", "Buy!", "Special offer", etc.
  • Do not include contact information (phone number, physical/legal/email address, website name (links), Skype, company name, etc.).
  • Do not write the title in uppercase letters, except for the first letters of capitalized words and proper names. Only abbreviations can be written entirely in uppercase letters. An example of incorrect writing: "URGENTLY BUY HONDA CIVIC".

2.2 Description

  • The ad must contain detailed information about the specific item/service you are offering/seeking. It is permissible to include additional information: conditions and options for acquisition, delivery, information about discounts and gifts, installation, and mounting of the purchased item, etc.
  • The description must not contain advertising character descriptions of the item for sale.
  • The ad text must not contain contact information (phone number, physical/legal/email address, website name (links), Skype, etc.).
  • Do not use uppercase letters, except for the first letters of capitalized words and proper names.
  • The use of keywords for easier search of the seller's ads, listing multiple items, posting price lists is not allowed.

2.3 Price

  • The price must match the actual price of the item/service.
  • The price must be a whole number, words replacing the price (e.g., "expensive", "cheap", "symbolic price", etc.) are not allowed.
  • The price must be indicated for the entire item for sale/rent. (For example, when selling an item on installment, the price must be indicated in full, not depending on the installment term. Provide information about the installment in the text.)
  • Do not indicate the price in the title or text of the ad — there is a separate field for this.

2.4 Photos

  • The photo demonstrating the item/service you are offering must match the title and text of the ad.
  • The photo must not contain elements of the user interface, abstract drawings, frames, and other details drawn using graphic editors.
  • The photo must not contain a collage as the main photo, logo, brand, copyright, watermark, company name, phone, email, website link, etc.
  • The photo must be of good quality, the item depicted must be distinguishable, optimal size: width – 1024 pixels, height – 800 pixels, size up to 500 KB.
  • A watermark with the user's full name is allowed on the photo. For internet partners, a watermark with the company name or logo can be used. The watermark must not occupy more than 25% of the photo area and must not distort the image of the item.
  • Ads for the sale and purchase of goods can only use real photos of the offered item.
  • Ads for service provision can contain any graphical images suitable for the topic, but not violating anyone's intellectual property rights.
  • Photos containing images of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, weapons, or other similar items are prohibited.

After posting (publication), the ad becomes visible to all users and is checked by a moderator. If the moderator finds an error, the ad will be rejected with a mandatory indication of the reason for rejection.

Rejection of an ad is just a notification of an error made. The ad author can correct the error and repost the ad.
